Why open cases in a simulator?

Real case opening returns about half of what it costs, on average — that's what the ROI ranking shows, computed from the disclosed odds and live Steam prices. Here you get the same reel, the same odds, the same floats and the same prices, with an honest ledger of what it would have cost — and no money leaves your pocket.

Popular cases right now

Start with Kilowatt Case, Fever Case, Recoil Case, Revolution Case, Dreams & Nightmares Case, Gallery Case, Glove Case or the Fracture Case — every case lists its full contents, per-skin drop chance, float ranges and live prices.

More than opening

FAQ

Casely is a case-opening simulator. Nothing here is real: no real items, no real money, no way to cash out. It exists so you can feel the unboxing — and see exactly what it would have cost you.

Are the odds real?

Yes. These are the only odds Valve has ever published — disclosed for the Chinese release of CS:GO and verified by the community against large unboxing samples:

TierChance
Mil-Spec (blue)79.9233%
Restricted (purple)15.9847%
Classified (pink)3.1969%
Covert (red)0.6394%
★ Rare Special (gold)0.2557%

Within a tier every item is equally likely. 10% of eligible drops are StatTrak™ (gloves never are). Click any skin in a case to see its exact per-item chance.

Where do the prices come from?

Steam Community Market — the same reference the market itself shows, in USD. They are relayed through a community price tracker because Steam rate-limits its price endpoint, and topped up with live case prices at every data refresh. Current price data: 2026-08-08. A price badged est. means that exact wear/StatTrak combination has zero active Steam listings, so the nearest priced wear is shown instead.

What is float, and why can't some skins be Factory New?

Every drop rolls a float value between 0 and 1 — its wear. The roll first picks a wear bucket (FN 3%, MW 24%, FT 33%, WW 24%, BS 16%), then the result is squeezed into the skin's own float range. A skin capped at 0.70 can therefore never be pristine, and one that starts at 0.14 can never drop Factory New — exactly like the real game. The ruler on every reveal shows your roll against the skin's range.

Can you trade up to a knife?

No. Trade-up contracts stop at Covert (red) — knives and gloves are gold-tier ("Exceedingly Rare") items that sit outside the contract system, both as inputs and outputs. Ten Covert skins cannot become a knife. The only ways to get one are the 0.26% case drop, buying it on the market, or trading with another player. Try the odds yourself in the trade-up simulator.

Which case is the best to open?

Measured by expected return, no case is profitable — but some lose far less than others. We rank every case by ROI, recomputed from live prices, so you can see exactly which cases give the best odds-weighted return per dollar.

Where is my inventory stored?

In your own browser (localStorage) — nothing leaves your device and there are no accounts. That also means clearing site data, switching browsers, or using private mode starts you fresh. To wipe everything on purpose, use Start over — reset everything at the top of your inventory.

How does the ledger work?

Every open costs the case's market price plus a $2.49 key, added to Spent. (The Sealed Terminals aren't openable here — they're offer terminals that sell you skins directly rather than rolling a random drop.) Items you keep count toward Inventory at current prices; items you sell turn into cash. Net = cash + inventory − spent. Expect it to be red — that is the honest lesson of case opening.

How do new cases show up?

Case contents are parsed from CS2's own game files by an open-source project that updates within days of a Valve release. This site refreshes its data daily, so new cases and price movements appear automatically.

Is this affiliated with Valve or Steam?

No. This is a fan-made simulator. All item names and images belong to Valve Corporation, and images are served from Steam's own CDN.
